Presentation: Tweet"Economic Darwinism, the Next Generation IT & Everything"
Every company is affected by the economic darwinism, i.e., the companies that respond best to change will survive. And the IT is not a bland cost center, it is the neural system of every company. No IT, no business!
It also means that any new business feature requires a change in the IT systems - in other words: IT defines the minimal time for a new business feature to go live.
Given this, it becomes obvious that the responsiveness of the IT about new business features is a crucial survival factor in the long run - we are no longer talking about months or years from first thought about a new business feature to production, but about weeks or days.
This session will examine the consequences of those observations for a next generation IT. What are our new drivers? How do we need to organize? Which architectures will suit the needs? What will be our new guiding principles?
See how hypes suddenly turn into essentials and seemingly rock-solid knowledge becomes obsolete. The next generation IT will be very different from todays enterprise ITs, but it also will be really exciting!
